Generation ReMix keeps what you tell us so we can introduce you, arrange conversations and send confirmations. Here is what that means for each person who takes part.
If you are a mentor
What we keep. What you write in the form, your photo, and the times and ways of meeting you choose.
Who sees what. Your photo, introduction, professional details and what you'd like to share and learn appear on your profile for young people looking for a mentor. Your WhatsApp number and email are seen only by the Silver Surfers and PoAI team, who use them to arrange your conversations and send confirmations. A young person gets your meeting link only in their booking confirmation. Young people under 18 appear to you by first name, stage and topics. Adults appear with the name and answers they gave.
Changing or removing it. Use the private link you got when you made your profile, or message Dipti on WhatsApp at +91 99009 11443 and we'll change or delete it.
If you are a young person
What we keep. Your answers from the sign-up form, your contact details, and your bookings and feedback.
Who sees what. The team sees your answers and contact details, to run the programme. A mentor you book sees your first name, your stage and the topics you'd like help with if you are under 18. If you are 18 or over, they also see your name, your introduction and the rest of what you chose to share. A mentor gets your phone number only when you meet by a WhatsApp or phone call, because they need it to call you. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian is told about each booking.
How long we keep it. We erase an under-18's details 12 months after their last session, or 12 months after sign-up if they never had one.
Changing or removing it. Open the private link we gave you to change your answers or cancel a booking. To have your details deleted, message Dipti on WhatsApp at +91 99009 11443.
If you are a parent or guardian
What we keep. Your name, your relationship to the young person, your mobile number, and a record of the moment you said yes.
Who sees what. The team uses your number to send you the confirmation link and a message about each booking. Your details stay with the team.
Changing your mind. The page you confirmed on has a link to withdraw at any time. When you withdraw, we cancel any future sessions and erase your child's details and yours.
